Waiting

Alone I wait 

In the stillness I wait
But what is it that I wait for
What is it that keeps me up at all hours
Why have I spent my entire life this way
Why do I gaze out windows
The sky can’t speak or can it
What does it say back to me
How I wish the clouds could reveal to me every answer I yearn for
How I wish the moon could tell me what life is all about
I wait and I wait and I wait
The sky stares back at me 
And I wait 
I wish it would reveal its secrets 
I wish I could see clearly 
I know it’s right in front of me 
I know the answers are staring right at me 
I wait knowing I should live
