I’m as young as I’ll ever be

My skin is soft and gentle

My hair is full and flowing

My body is mine to keep

I’m older than I was yesterday but younger than I will be tomorrow

Time has no effect on my soul

I am still the same girl I was 15 years ago yet I’m changed, I’ve grown

I am older yet young in so many ways

I am learning about the world, about myself one day at a time

And there’s so much more I want to do

There’s so much more I want to see

I’m as young as I’ll ever be and I want to live in that

I want to live with the playfulness of a child

With the hopes and dreams of a teenager

And the wisdom of an adult

We are young forever

We just don’t know it

We only see grey, wrinkles, age, time, and the past

When we should be looking at now, the beauty, the growth, the strength, the passion, the knowledge we’ve received

I’m as young as I’ll ever be and it scares me and thrills me all at once
